HOPE & Asia Petroleum Collaboration Bring Solar Panels to Village Healthcare to Impact 70,000/Year

Dear HOPE Friends,

HOPE & Asia Petroleum Collaboration Bring Solar Panels to Village Healthcare to Impact 70,000/Year

We are thrilled to share with you a new chapter in HOPE's collaboration with petroleum conglomerate - Asia Petroleum, by which solar panels have been installed in our two Mobile Health Units (MHUs) located in the outskirts of Karachi, Pakistan.

Our MHUs service approximately 20 rural villages on a rotating basis and bring free healthcare to over 70,000 patients per year, 70 percent of whom are women and children. The MHUs are sponsored generously by Asia Petroleum and the addition of solar panels to our units will come with the following benefits to the environment:

  • First and foremost, solar energy is a truly renewable energy source.

  • Solar panels are virtually pollution-free and no greenhouse gases are emitted after installation.

  • Overall, the dependance on foreign oil and fossil fuels is drastically reduced.

  • Solar panels are maintenance-free and last 30 years.

  • Energy bills are significantly reduced.

See for yourself the precious lives that are being impacted by this project along with our other avenues of poverty alleviation: Health, Education, Vocational Training, Disaster Relief, Aqua Project, Ramadan Activities, and Qurbani.
