Dear HOPE Supporters,
Just wanted to share an informal update of our distribution in the village of Gharo yesterday. We distributed 25 ration bags, but will visit again as the villagers need more. These pictures are truly the type that tug at your heart strings and were the impetus for the launch of our Grocery Project last year which so many of you have generously supported.
Quick facts:
- Gharo is located 55 miles away from Karachi
- HOPE operates home schools and hand pumps in Gharo
- Villagers have access to HOPE's hospitals in Thatta and Karachi which treat a total of over 300,000 poor patients a year for free
- At times HOPE establishes medical camps in Gharo to bring healthcare to the villagers
- HOPE has partnered with P&G to bring Pur clean water sachets to villagers
