Two HOPE MCHCs Celebrate Anniversaries

Dear HOPE Friends,

We wanted to share with you some milestones reached in our Saving Maternal and Infant Lives campaign! Our Maternal & Child Health Centers in Korangi and Bilal Colony both recently celebrated anniversaries, with Korangi reaching a one year mark and Bilal Colony marking five years in operation.

Our MCHCs are a critical component of our efforts to save the lives of mothers and young children in Pakistan. As you may be aware, Pakistan's Maternal Mortality rate accounts for 28% of the global total. Pakistan also has the highest infant mortality rate in the world; infants here face a 1 in 22 percent chance of dying within a year of birth. Our MCHCs aim to provide a preventative approach to this crisis by providing free prenatal and infant care to underserved areas. In 2021, HOPE's Bilal Colony MCHC treated 28,450 women and children. Similarly, the Korangi MCHC treated 29,520 patients in 2021.

Thank you to all our supporters for allowing us to reach these milestones - we are grateful for your support and trust in our efforts.

Best regards,

Ambereen Siddiqui
